Benefit's They're Real Push-Up Liner Review

These days it's all about winged liner!!  I hate to admit - I am not the very best at it.  Somewhere down the journey of life, I stopped applying liquid eyeliner and lost the art of a smooth artistic wing.  I generally don't wear make up every single day so that hasn't helped my rusty hand.  With the growing trend of defined cat eyes, I also was on the market for a way to restart using eyeliner whether it be liquid or gel.  I just wanted something that was easy to get the hang of after my long sabatical.

I had been receiving marketing emails from Benefit and there was a lot of hype about their latest release They're Real Push-Up Liner, which stated that it was foolproof and was a gel based liner.  When it released in Saudi, I headed to Sephora and purchased it!

I was so excited to say the very least and had high expectations due to the claims they had made.  As soon as I came home, I tried the product.  After numerous twists, finally the product was released.  I began to apply it to my eye and found it to be a bit difficult.  The rubber edge that they say will make it easy to apply; actually was a hindrance in my opinion. I couldn't tell if I needed more liner or not.  The gel would clump up and when I would want to fix that part the line was just getting thicker.

However, after a few days of trying, I gave it a rest.  After a month, I decided to give it a go once more - but it didn't end well.   I had stored it along with my make up in an Air Conditioned room and after applying it, I started feeling slight burning on my eyelids which gradually was increasing.  I was trying to make the most out of it, but it was so bad that I just had to go wash it off. My eyelids were swollen and sore which prevented me from wearing any eye make up for two days.
I wonder what happened to the formula!!

For me, this product is sadly a FLOP.  On the flip side, I will continue to purchase Benefit's products .. this is not the be all and end all!! I sure do love their blushes and lipsticks!!!

What do you guys think?  Is it a good eyeliner?  Let me know your experience with it!

Cheers and talk to you very soon!!

Love,

Fatima

Benefit | Hydra Smooth Lip Color

At the blink of an eye, we have already reached the mid-way of another year.  It will be Fall soon enough and I thought to talk about a lip color which I find quite flattering to wear during the Fall/Winter of any year.  I have been wearing the lipstick for the last 2 - 3 years without fail along with my other suspects.  The topic of discussion is the Hydra Smooth Lip Color by Benefit Cosmetics in the color fling thing, a very berry! Benefit: Hydra Smooth Lip Color Benefit: Hydra Smooth Lip Color The Benefit Hydra Smooth Lip Color, comes in an array of about ten different shades to suit all.  You can find corals to pinks to vampy shades.  The Hydra Lip Color USP is that it glides on swiftly onto the lips with the help of a slanted bullet - which gives a precise application. One doesn't need to use a lip brush for the deep, dark, bold colors as well.   Fling thing is a berry shade that goes well with most outfits and doe...

Origins | A Perfect World

I used to use a particular face wash some years ago and then strayed off the path in search for something different.  I was raiding my beauty closet and luckily this face wash was still in date!! * happy days..wink * I decided to use Origins A Perfect World face wash and old memories just came flooding back.   Origins A Perfect World This is a no brainer!! It is not complicated like some other face washes which you either have to apply on dry skin to activate the exfoliating enzymes or wet skin so it slides effortlessly so as to unclog your pores.  With this face wash, you simply squirt a dime size of the gel/cream and I apply it on my wet face.  I like to massage my facial washes to help me relax after a tiring work day.  This is not only relaxing, but also helps clear out any grime which may be festering in my pores.  After use, my skin was wonderfully clean without it being tight.   Origin states the following: " Th...
