Benefit's They're Real Push-Up Liner Review

These days it's all about winged liner!!  I hate to admit - I am not the very best at it.  Somewhere down the journey of life, I stopped applying liquid eyeliner and lost the art of a smooth artistic wing.  I generally don't wear make up every single day so that hasn't helped my rusty hand.  With the growing trend of defined cat eyes, I also was on the market for a way to restart using eyeliner whether it be liquid or gel.  I just wanted something that was easy to get the hang of after my long sabatical.

I had been receiving marketing emails from Benefit and there was a lot of hype about their latest release They're Real Push-Up Liner, which stated that it was foolproof and was a gel based liner.  When it released in Saudi, I headed to Sephora and purchased it!

I was so excited to say the very least and had high expectations due to the claims they had made.  As soon as I came home, I tried the product.  After numerous twists, finally the product was released.  I began to apply it to my eye and found it to be a bit difficult.  The rubber edge that they say will make it easy to apply; actually was a hindrance in my opinion. I couldn't tell if I needed more liner or not.  The gel would clump up and when I would want to fix that part the line was just getting thicker.

However, after a few days of trying, I gave it a rest.  After a month, I decided to give it a go once more - but it didn't end well.   I had stored it along with my make up in an Air Conditioned room and after applying it, I started feeling slight burning on my eyelids which gradually was increasing.  I was trying to make the most out of it, but it was so bad that I just had to go wash it off. My eyelids were swollen and sore which prevented me from wearing any eye make up for two days.
I wonder what happened to the formula!!

For me, this product is sadly a FLOP.  On the flip side, I will continue to purchase Benefit's products .. this is not the be all and end all!! I sure do love their blushes and lipsticks!!!

What do you guys think?  Is it a good eyeliner?  Let me know your experience with it!

Cheers and talk to you very soon!!

Love,

Fatima
