My Secret to Glowing, Clear Skin

Being a beauty blogger, I am always looking for products that will give me the best results in terms of great skin.  My routine got a little monotonous and I was all for something new.  One day, out of boredom I went into my kitchen and came up with a concoction for a homemade mask.  Low and behold, I was surprised!! *chicken dance*  It was a miracle worker as it addressed a couple of issues that I deal with being a dry, sensitive skin type.  Today,  I am going to share with you my secret to clear, healthy skin which you can obtain with simple ingredients that you may have lying in your kitchen shelves.

YOU WILL NEED:
  • Chickpea Powder 2.5 Tbsp
  • Sweet Almond Oil 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Honey 1 tsp
  • Milk 1 tsp
  • Rose Water or Water 2 tsp

DIRECTIONS:

First, mix the chickpea powder and rose water.  I prefer to use rose water for it's added benefits, but water will do just fine if you're in a pinch.  Then after the two form a thick paste, add the remaining ingredients which pertain to almond oil, honey, and milk.  The mask should now have a consistency of a medium thick paste which you can easily spread all over your face and neck.

Leave the mask on up to 30 minutes.  You might feel a slight tingly sensation due to the turmeric.  Wash off with lukewarm water.

Voila, you have beautiful glowing skin for less than a few dollars!! A thing to keep in mind is that even after you wash off the mask, you may feel a slight warm sensation.  Not to worry, since you have massaged your skin whilst washing the mask off,  we stimulated blood circulation as we used turmeric in the mask.  It should go away in 20 - 30 minutes.  You can apply your toner or rose water after that and don't forget to apply your moisturizer of choice. I guarantee that you will see how radiant and plump your skin is!

This is a great mask which I use every week to keep my skin in tip top condition.  It is gentle yet effective.  As a dry to sensitive skin type, I have noticed a great reduction in dry patches and it is a wonderful exfoliant since milk acts as a mild exfoliant.  It is non-irritating thanks to the honey and the sweet almond oil, both of which act as humectants which moisturize and hydrate the skin.  Turmeric is a great antiseptic and works wonders on any whiteheads or pimples you may have.  Honey too has antiseptic properties.  If I feel a pimple is about to come to head, this mask is my go-to!!  It quickly kills the bacteria that may be the cause and flattens it out almost immediately!!

I urge you all to give this mask a go.  If you have oily skin and think it might be too hydrating for you, then I guess you could skip the almond oil.  I don't think it would make you produce more oil though, on the contrary, it may help you in balancing your skin out.

As I say, you do you!!  Do what rocks your boat and let me know how you found this mask!!
