NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Eye make-up that involves dark saturated colors is usually a pain to remove at the end of a long day.  Seeing people tugging and harshly rubbing their eyelids is a pet peeve of mine!!  I just can't stand when women do that!!  As we tend to grow older, the eyelids become more susceptible to sagging and loss of collagen.

For this reason, I always look for something that is easy and one which will quickly wipe away the eyeshadow and waterproof mascara without me having to tug on my eyelids.  On a visit to Danube, grocery store, for the regular weekly shop, I came across NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover, which comes in a 125 ml bottle and have been using it ever since.

This particular remover is an oil based formula.  You have to shake the bottle and then apply onto a cotton pad.  The solution becomes a cloudy, lavender color when it's ready to apply onto the cotton pad.  I tend to leave the cotton pad on each eye for a 10 seconds and then swipe away.  I usually do this 2 - 3 times to make sure I have also removed eyeliner from the waterline.

With this remover, there is no need to rub your eyes and the eye make-up simply melts off onto the cotton pad.  My vision isn't affected either like other oil based removers I have used and hardly feel any oily residue on my lids. I don't wear contact lenses, but do have sensitive eyes.  This formula thankfully doesn't irritate my eyes at all, which is a plus!!  An oldy that I used for a long time irritates my eyes, making them swell up and peel ... I don't really want to name and shame that brand, but I find many of their products do that to me.  I don't know if there is some ingredient in it or what because I used to use that pretty famous brand for years.  Oh ok ... I know y'all are wondering which one was it, well it's the one that starts with the big 'ol L ... (no pun intended!) lol

If you're looking for a new eye make-up remover that is effective and affordable, certainly do give NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover a go!!  I don't think you will be disappointed!!

To dark smokey eye make-up and heavy liner!!!! ...
