Fresh - Crème Ancienne Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask

Dry, sensitive skin tends to get irritated easily and may at times become flaky due to many factors.  It can be due to stress, cosmetic lotions and potions such as AHAs or BHAs, and/or climatic changes.  Since I suffer from the above, it is essential for me to keep my skin as hydrated as I possibly can living in an air-conditioned environment 24/7 (as is the norm across the Middle East).  The warm, salty water doesn't help either which adds to the dryness.

To quench my thirsty dry skin, I had begun conjuring up my own homemade hydrating honey mask.  Honey being a natural wonder has many benefits for the skin. Here are just a few:
  • humectant which draws in moisture to the skin
  • Packed with antioxidants which help to delay the aging process
  • Clarifies pores
  • Treats or prevents acne

On a spending spree at Nordstrom online, I came across Fresh - Crème Ancienne Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask.  This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, I would no longer have to make my own homemade mask!!  By no means am I bashing my organic homemade mask; it was splendid and indeed served it's purpose.  But, for lazy days, I needed a mask which was ready-to-go.  I was simply sold right there and then.

As soon as you open the jar, there is a strong smell of honey hence the name HONEY MASK!!  The mask is a sight for sore eyes!!

On the Fresh website, the following benefits are listed:

When applied on the skin you can feel the creamy yet silky texture against your skin.  I usually leave it on for 10 minutes max.  It immediately sinks in to the skin and once washed off, your face feels like a baby's bottom.  Nourished, soft, and supple = adequately moisturized.

For me it's a win-win situation.  I would definitely recommend this product to all my lovely friends out there.  However, I would suggest to keep the jar in a cool, dry place which is well ventilated to prevent it from going bad.  In addition to that, from my experience, if left longer than 10 minutes on the skin, burning sensation is felt.  After removal my skin is red and irritated for quite a long while, so do try not to exceed the application time.

That's me signing off .. keep your skin nourished and moisturized .. until next time ..

Your friend,

Fatima
